Each leg must win for a parlay to pay. The combined implied probability drops fast — that's why books push them.

FAQ

How is a parlay payout calculated?

Convert every leg to decimal odds and multiply them together, then multiply by your stake. Two legs at -110 (1.909 each) combine to 3.645 — a $100 stake returns $364.50.

Why do sportsbooks love parlays?

The book's margin compounds with every leg. A single -110 bet carries ~4.5% margin; a 4-leg parlay of -110s carries ~17%. Fun, but expensive as a strategy.

Do all legs have to win?

Yes. One losing leg loses the whole ticket. A void/push leg usually just drops out and the parlay recalculates without it.
